Our Culture
Whilst we have our company values in place, which you can read about here, it’s challenging to summarise our culture in just a few key values.
So, we thought it was important to highlight what else is important to us, and the behaviours we see regularly within in our culture.
We regularly pulse-check our team in various ways to get their feedback on the things they love about working here the themes we’ve seen are:
The Recognition. It sounds quite simple, but you’ll often hear excitement when someone does something great. We have a monthly team retro meeting, which is a time for you to say a job well done to someone in the business, or shout-out about something you’re particularly proud of. We also have the “HowNow-Love” channel on Slack, where teams regularly shout out about the great things others are doing in the company.


The ability to be autonomous, take responsibility, and try and fail. Psychological safety is present at HowNow. People feel safe to voice ideas, their feedback, and challenge others. It’s led to some great product ideas, new ways of working, and a positive and thought-provoking place to work.
The People. We’re intentionally selective with who we hire. As a scale-up, every hire we make is important. We don’t want any bad eggs, and want people who don’t bring their egos to work! We’re proud to state that we’re a friendly bunch of people who get along well and are easy to work with.

The Product. Doing meaningful work is important. And at HowNow, we’re changing the way that people learn. Learning should be a top priority, for everyone. Our team is doing something that has real-world impact, and love the industry they work in and the product they’re helping make.
Flexibility and Work-life Balance. We're constantly evolving our perks and benefits to provide benefits that are aligned with our employees unique lifestyles. Our Wind-Down Fridays, Work From Anywhere Policies, and flexible start-times amongst many others, have allowed our employees to see huge differences in their lives outside of work.
